Sort of like a twitter post
After months of eating nothing but spinach salads or granola bars for lunch... I caved in today and went to Church's Fried Chicken. The really ghetto one in the porn district of Times Square. It's a Riese chain combo place that combines greasy fried chicken alongside Nathan's Hotdogs, Arthur Treacher's fried fish, Taco Bell, and some no name Panda Express knock off all crammed into one run down, poorly lit space. All worth it for the honey-butter biscuits.

Yum, honey-butter biscuits! You deserve one!

Even though I don't really eat much fast food, I prefer Popeye's chicken. Though I can't find one out here. Fried chicken make my stomach hurt, no matter how much I enjoy them.

There's one out on the East Side, I understand. Let's get Scott to drive us out there sometime.

Really!

Well, I was planning to surprise you with fried chicken wings dipped in milkshakes for dinner, but I suppose we'll have to have kale instead. ;)

I love Church's! Especially their corn nuggets! Times Square still has a porn district?

Man you still have Arthur Treacher's? They all died around here in the late 70's! We might have to go searching for one next time we go out east...

I will be another one of those "we have to find this" quests that I take my wife on just to have her spend the whole time with a... "My husband is insane and I am just a little scared" look on her face...

The Church of Chicken.
We've got Ezell's, so no complaints from this part of the world.

...Wow. We used to get Church's Fried Chicken when we lived in Atlanta (once in a while), because it was 'way better than KFC', but I didn't know there were any farther north. I was probably too young to know better. I can't remember if it was delicious...I think I'm still working it off.

Oh god, I love Church's we have them all over Texas... man get a slurpee and some chicken and feel your heart beating way too fast. On second thought, don't do that. =/ Still I love the chicken there. I didn't know they were in NY.

Then again I didn't realize that Calr's Jr and Hardee's had the same logo style. I went to Pittsburgh I just kept staring and staring when we'd pass a Hardee's. There probably owned by the same people but it's so weird.

I was just walking by that place yesterday, almost directly after a meal, and STILL the desire to go in was almost overpowering. It must've been the biscuits calling me. I'm glad I didn't realize that-- I'd have given in to the biscuits, but I assumed the call was Fried Chicken, and I walk by that in my neighborhood all the time.
